Jerry Dawson is the co-founder of Dallas based Accounting firm Taxcare Affiliates, LLC which was established in 2014 and has over 10+ years of accounting and tax experience. He received his BBA in Accounting from University of Oklahoma in 2007 and his MBA in Accounting from Oklahoma Christian University in 2012. During Jerry’s tenure in the accounting industry, he has worked with venue management, home owner association management, and consulting engineering companies. This allowed Jerry to become well-versed in general ledger accounting and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and analysis, business, sales, and property tax returns, audit preparation, forecasting and budgeting, real estate accounting, and tax-deferment strategies thanks to the great CFOs and directors he has worked under.
Clients like that Jerry is very personable and professional, but most importantly, provides value to whoever he helps. Evidence of his professionalism positioned him to be sought out by a certified trust specialist with a trust firm in order for Taxcare Affiliates to do their client’s trust returns. Jerry is always being proactive in adding value-added services wherever he can.
When Jerry is not solving accounting and tax issues for clients, he enjoys serving on the board of directors for Carter’s House, a non-profit, specializing in providing no-cost clothing and school uniforms to families with low to moderate incomes in South Dallas, spending time with his wife and daughter, and traveling with friends.

Background
Nickezisa Dawson is the other founder of Taxcare Affiliates, LLC which was established in 2014 and has over 10+ years in finance and accounting. She received her BS in Finance from The City University of New York in 2008. Nickezisa professional background consists of working for a law firm, the banking industry, and the last seven years in accounting and tax specifically in the healthcare industry.
Nickezisa has a love for taxes that most do not have and takes pride in educating clients about the various ways to decrease taxable income and increase tax returns if possible. Her main area of focus is tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping, and business advisory. Nickezisa is currently pursuing her Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
Outside of making clients happy all year round, Nickezisa enjoys volunteering in her community, spending time with her family, and traveling.
